MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 9: Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) was declared winner of the district level role play competition held at Mokokchung Town Hall which was organised by SCERT in collaboration with NPEP, NCERT.
Limawabang, Deputy Director of SCERT and the chief guest, in his exhortation, said role play is an educational activity where the actor undergoes learning designed to develop psycho-social competencies of an individual for adaptive and positive behavior that empowers oneself to guard against evil thoughts and actions in everyday life.
He also encouraged the gathering to value their lives as it is the greatest gift from God by not indulging in vices like alcohol, drugs, unprotected sex and tobacco abuse. He also asked the gathering to be self aware of one’s existence and to cultivate self awareness skills to bolster their confidence as well as uphold their self esteem to protect themselves from temptations, worldly pleasures, dangers and diseases.
Altogether, six government schools have participated in the competition.
Earlier at the programme, a synopsis on national role play was delivered by Kibangsangla, Headmistress of GHS, Dilong, while special numbers were also presented by students of GHS, Dilong and Senayangba GHSS. The vote of thanks was delivered by Neisakho, Accounts officer, SCERT Nagaland, Kohima.
