Mumbai, Dec. 14: Select base metals including copper, brass, lead, tin and nickel weakened further at the non-ferrous metal market here today following sustained stockists selling amidst lower demand from industrial users.
While, copper cable scrap recovered marginally owing to fresh demand from industrial users.
Tin and nickel dropped by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 1,650 and Rs 860 from Tuesday’s close Rs 1,660 and Rs 870.
Lead prices fell by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 144 as against Rs 151 yesterday.
Copper scrap heavy and brass utensils scrap declined by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 374 and Rs 300 as against yesterday’s close Rs 379 and Rs 305.Copper utensils, copper wire bar and brass sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 340, Rs 18 and Rs 321 from Rs 344, Rs 414 and Rs 325 respectively.
Copper armiture edged down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 360 as compared Rs 363 and copper sheet cuttings softened by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 358 from Rs 360 yesterday.
However, copper cable scrap regained by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 390 as against Rs 386 yesterday.
