DIMAPUR — Advisor to Land Resources, G Ikuto Zhimomi on Wednesday urged students to adapt to the rapidly evolving world and seize emerging opportunities beyond traditional paths.
The advisor was speaking at the 19th general conference of the Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students' Union (ENSSU) held at Natsami village under Kiphire district, an update stated.
Ikuto emphasised the need for today's students to embrace change across all fields.
“When changes are there in every field, accordingly we should also be prepared to adapt,” he stated, encouraging the youth to remain flexible and forward-thinking in a dynamic global landscape.

Highlighting diverse avenues for the youth, the advisor clarified that government jobs are no longer the sole option.
“Lots of avenues are available for youths and students of today,” he remarked, and urged the students to broaden their horizons.
For public service aspirants, he highlighted the new merit-based system where entry is via competitive exams only, cutting out backdoor appointments or political recommendations.
Zhimomi also shared key statistical insights into Nagaland's student employment and unemployment scenarios, underscoring the importance of skill-building and preparedness to address current challenges.
“The event brought together students from across the region. Zhimomi's words resonated deeply, reinforcing the government's commitment to empowering the youth through transparency and opportunity,” the update stated.
