Security forces organise health camps

Dimapur, June 29: In its effort to reach out to needy and medically deprived section of society, troops of 9 BIHAR organised a medical camp in Mohung village under Mon district on June 25. Paramedical staff treated 250 patients including 170 adults and 80 children and distributed free medicines to the patients. The villagers led by prominent personalities of the village conveyed their gratitude to the Unit for providing treatment to the poor and needy at their door steps. In another programme, troops of 37 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp in Old Sitikima village under Dimapur district on June 21 and provided basic medical aid to the remote village devoid of the facilities. The initiative was taken by 37 Assam Rifles on request from village authorities. During the camp, a total of 83 locals including 24 men, 27 women and 32 children were provided medical aid. The camp catered genuine requirements of villagers. Meanwhile, the village council expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for providing medical services at their doorstep and expressed desire for more such events in future.
