Security forces nabs four NPGN/NNC cadres

Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): Security forces along with the state police representative reportedly arrested four cadres of NPGN/NNC (Non Accordist) during an operation near Jail Colony in Kohima on October 14.

A defence release stated that the cadres were arrested basing on specific intelligence inputs. It was suspected that the cadres were involved in an extortion activity in the area.

The troops also recovered one .32 mm pistol with a magazine, six live rounds of ammunition, one extortion pad belonging to the Naga army NPGN- NNC and 61 signed extortion slips of NPGN/NNC (NA) amounting to INR 1,71,000.

The release further stated that the apprehended persons along with recovered items have been handed over to South Police Station, Kohima, for further investigation.
