Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): The Changlang battalion of security forces apprehended one individual who was identified to be an over ground worker of NSCN at Lalpahar village.
A press release from the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Wednesday stated that the security forces under DAO division has been carrying out extensive operations in south Arunachal Pradesh to keep the area out of the clutches of insurgents.
According to the press release, the Changlang battalion of security forces undertook an operation on the night of April 3. The press release informed that one over ground worker of NSCN indentified as Limham Jugli, who had been a resident of Paharpur village in Tinsukia district was apprehended along with one .22 pistol and five roundsof live ammunition.
The PIB further informed that, during the interrogation it was found out that the over ground worker had been actively supporting the banned outfit, threatening locals and carrying out extortion for the group.
