Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Rovilato Mor has informed that due to landslide on the upstream of Sidzü River above, an artificial dam has been formed and huge water body has been accumulated, posing serious threat to safety of life and properties on the downstream.
Farmers, vehicular passengers, residents along Sidzü River are advised to avoid the river banks on the downstream of Pfütsero-Chakabama road.
The secretary has directed deputy commissioner and chairman of District Disaster Management Authority of Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Mokokchung, and Zunheboto to mobilize and deploy the state Disaster Response Force to and other available resources for responding to the given situation as well as if there are any eventualities.
