Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): The president and its executive council of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA) conducted farewell programme in honour of the NSS officers was on April 25 at the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima. Update from informed about the event.
Among the retiring officers included three secretaries, seven additional secretaries, ten joint secretaries, two deputy secretaries, and one under secretary.
On behalf of the retiring officers, secretary of Home, C Kikon gave a farewell speech. Kikon said that ‘attaining retirement is the greatest achievement for a government servant.’ Giving gratefulness to the Almighty, he said that it is all possible by the grace of God.
Expressing satisfaction and happiness on his attainment of retirement, Kikon said that while in service one has given his best time and prime time to serve the public. ‘One on retirement is free to do anything he chooses to contribute to the society,’ he said. He also congratulated to all his retired colleagues and wished them well.
Encouraging the junior officers, Kikon urged them to work hard to earn good experience and efficiency and become an asset to the state.
The senior official of NSS, Sweho Naleo, attributed the retiring officers that they have been backbone and the association as well. He said, ‘your guidance and encouragement in the course of our journey as government servants has been made all the more worthwhile because of your mentorship.’
Altogether 23 NSS officials have been released from service on their completion of 35 years of service. Among them, one was on attaining the age of superannuation as per an order of State Personal and administrative Reform department, it informed.
