Dimapur, Aug. 30 (EMN): Department of school education has announced to observe a fortnight programme on implementation of Swachh Pakhwada (cleanliness & sanitation) in schools from September 1 to 15. The programme is being organised in conformity with the directive of ministry of drinking water and sanitation (MDWS), which is the nodal ministry for Swachh Bharat Mission and Swachhta Pakhwada.
Informing this in a press release, deputy commissioner and chairman of DMA, SSA, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, has directed all the schools to observe the programme as per schedule without fail and submit the day-wise activities report with two best photographs for each activities through whatsapp or any other device for selection of best schools and individual of overall activities.
The notification also informed that observer from state/ district/ block might come to the school without prior notice of date and time to see the activities. It has directed the district level committee (DLC) to have meeting for selection of best schools and individuals, adding the time and venue for prize distribution would be intimated in due course of time.
The schools were asked to send their daily activities report to the office of DMA SSA, Kohima, and EBRCs through Whatsapp. The activities reports could be send as shown in EBRC wise: L Khel Kohima- 9402489249/ 9436071257, Viswema- 9436062937/ 9612878251, Chiephobozou - 9089205945/ 8837286936, Tseminyu - 9856742130/ 8794123803, and Sechu Zubza -9089208856/ 8730030360.
It further informed that non performance schools would be called for disciplinary action.
