Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): The week-long sports meet of the School of Engineering and Technology, NU culminated on Sat. March 24 at the State Stadium in Dimapur. This was stated in a press note. There were 35 events during the week long sports meet.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Tolto Metha, Member of NBDA as the guest of honour. In his speech, the guest of honour expressed that engineers are nation builders and second to none.
He further stated that sports helps in developing musculoskeletal system, team spirit, social bonding, critical thinking and time management. He also suggested to conduct cultural events all throughout the year apart from Techaura and sports meet.
The medals and certificates were awarded by Dr. Tolto Metha along with Ramesh Singh, in-charge of games and sports.
