Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): Three schemes namely the nutrition programme Poshan Avhiyaan; maternity benefit programme Pradhan Mantri Mantru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) and the women welfare centre and helpline Sakhi One Stop Centre conducted a program on July 24 at Seyochung town and Sitimi in Kiphire district.
Updates from the organisers on Thursday informed that the event was marked by ‘a motivational talk’ from Nyamok Konyak, extra assistant commissioner of Seyochung, who spoke about women empowerment.
According to a press release that was received here on Wednesday, she urged women to participate in ‘decision making body’ and to work for communal harmony of various Naga communities in the town.
The district coordinator of the PMMVY Tongtali L, and district program assistant Limitsung Sangtam gave a demonstration in form-filling. The coordinator urged workers to identify beneficiaries in their centers to avail the schemes.
The criteria that need to be fulfilled to avail the schemes were also highlighted at the event. Sangtam engaged a full session of training, the updates stated.
The Sakhi One Stop Centre’s administrator Rolila and its counsellor Tsoching also talked about ‘availing schemes,’ the updates stated simply.
Further, Itulungbe Ndang of the Poshan Abhiyaan spoke about incremental learning approach, and growth monitoring among other matters, the updates stated.
