Dimapur, May 27 (EMN): Scavengers has announced that its first-ever ScavLab public event will happen on May 29 and it will allow around 5,000 players to take part in the massive multiplayer event.

For the uninitiated, Scavengers is a free-to-play action shooter battle royale game with sandbox-style PvE elements. Players team up in squads of three and compete in a hybrid PvE sandbox/PvP battle royale. The game was officially released back on April 28 and it is developed by Midwinter Entertainment.

The new ScavLab massive multiplayer event will run once for 30-40 minutes with no repeats. The event will feature competitive sports minigames and large-scale combat along with an opportunity for an AMA session with Midwinter Entertainment's CEO, Josh Homes.

In its official blog, the company wrote, "All-in-all, expect to have some serious fun sliding down a mountain, collecting data points, and battling thousands upon thousands of Thresh on a beautiful snowy lake (with jump pads…). This ScavLab event is expected to run once for ~30-45 minutes. No repeats!"

The ScavLab public event is scheduled to get underway at 11 am PT/7 pm BST (11 pm IST) on May 29 and will be open to all Scavengers players. Players will need to have the game already downloaded on their computers before 11 pm IST. The event will have a player cap of 5000 and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to keep an eye out on the ScavLab mode button on the home menu — if it's greyed out, it means the server is at maximum capacity. If it's not, then space has been freed and you can join in.
