Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Youth Department of Sumi Baptist Church Purana Bazaar (SBCPB), has organised a youth fest on the theme “Our culture is our heritage" on July 1 and 2 in the church premises.
A press release issue by Co-convener, Abeto Shohe, said a total of nearly one thousand youth took active role in the youth fest. A special presentation ‘war dance’ was performed by East Dimapur Sumi Youth Organisation.
The programme highlights included war dance, spear kicking, wool yarning, pork fats eating, war slogan, indigenous go-carting, top spinning and other morally and spiritually educative activities for the youth.
Meanwhile, the youth department has expressed gratitude to all the participants, well wishers and acknowledged the tireless effort of the Women Department and East Dimapur Sumi Youth Organisation for making the programme a success.
