
Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): Sazolie College, Kohima organised its 13th Parting Social at the college auditorium on April 30.
The programme was chaired by Arenbemo and Moiya Anghwanhu, while Nzanthung Kikon, Chaplain, Sazolie College invoked God’s blessing. A welcome song was presented by the 4th semester students, which was followed by special numbers, an update from the institution informed.
It said that speech on behalf of the seniors was delivered by Marükho Pfozhe, CR, 6th sem., while Boingam Y Konyak spoke on behalf of the juniors.
Dr. Gomesh Mosaharry, Principal, Sazolie College of Teachers Education (SCTE) exhorted the gathering and spoke on the importance of mental, spiritual and physical well-being. He stated that the balance of these three factors is vital for a healthy and successful life.
The formal session concluded with ‘The Student of the Year’ award, wherein Marükho Pfozhe from English department (6th sem.), was declared ‘Student of the Year 2022’. He received a certificate and a cash prize of INR 5000.
It may be mentioned that ‘Student of the Year’ is selected each year from 6th semester by the Academic Committee of the college. The selection is based on his/her academic and co-curricular activities, it read.
Meanwhile, there was an entertainment session, which featured a special song by Imlisenla and friends, dance by Awoka and Kerimong, beatbox by Tovishe and friends, special number by Otisanen and friends and drama by Pilangthung and friends, it added.
