Satoi Range bodies urge NNPGs to exempt Zhekiye-Satoi road and development projects from taxation.
DIMAPUR — The Satoi Range GBs’ Association, Satoi Range Students’ Union (SRSU), Satoi Range Sumi Totimi Loka (STL), and collective stakeholders of Satoi Range have jointly appealed to all Naga National Political Groups (NNPG) to grant total exemption from taxation on the long-awaited Zhekiye-Satoi Road construction project, as well as on all development funds and ongoing infrastructural projects within the Satoi jurisdiction.
A press statement noted that Satoi Range, situated in the remote eastern corner of Zunheboto district, stands at a critical stage of development.
“Historically isolated by difficult terrain and decades of neglect, the region has remained significantly behind in basic infrastructure and essential services,” the statement read.
They mentioned that the commencement of the Zhekiye-Satoi Road project and other developmental initiatives has brought renewed hope to the people of the region. However, the successful execution of these projects remains highly dependent on the effective utilisation of the funds sanctioned for them.

It was further stated that any deduction from the limited development resources directly affects the pace, quality, and scope of development.
The stakeholders further appealed to all concerned to keep the Zhekiye-Satoi Road construction and other ongoing development works free from interference and allow the projects to proceed peacefully, continuously, and without disruption.
At the same time, the stakeholders placed a clear responsibility upon the concerned contractor, executing agencies, and government departments to ensure that the works are carried out strictly in accordance with the approved design, specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
The stakeholders stated that they will continue to closely monitor the progress and quality of the projects and remain committed to representing and safeguarding the genuine interests of the people of Satoi Range.
They also called upon the Government of Nagaland, district administration, and concerned law enforcement authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure a safe, peaceful, and secure environment for the uninterrupted execution of these vital developmental projects.
