- KOHIMA — The
three-day 63rd annual games and sports-cum-4th edition of ‘Dziikou Cup’ of the
Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) entered the second day on Friday.
- Neilekho Zutso, class-1 contractor and former athletics
secretary of Angami Sports Association was the special guest for the event.
- In his address, Zutso called upon the sportspersons to give
their best, put extra efforts and run the extra mile to excel.
- In the first men’s football quarter finals, Kidima Youth
Organisation defeated Kigwema Youth Organisation via a tie-breaker.
- Kidima Youth Organisation will now face Khuzama in the first
semi-finals on February 1 at Jakhama local ground.
- In another quarter final match, Mima Youth Organisation
defeated Pfüchama Youth Organisation 2-0.
- Mima will now play with Viswema Youth Organisation in the
second semi final match.
- In men’s volleyball first semi finals, Kigwema Youth
Organisation defeated Kezoma Urban Station Youth Organisation by deciding sets.
- In second the semi finals, Mima Youth Organisation
registered win over Phesama Youth Organisation by straight sets.
- Kigwema Youth Organisation will now play Mima Youth
Organisation in the final.
- Meanwhile, Mima Youth Organisation defeated Viswema Youth
Organisation 1-0 in the first semi final of women’s football.
- Kidima Youth Organisation defeated Khuzama Youth
Organisation 5-0 in the second semi finals.
- Mima Youth Organisation will now take on Kidima Youth
Organisation in the final.
- Viswema Youth Organisation emerged champions in the men’s
sepaktakraw while Kigwema Youth Organisation secured second position.
- In women’s sepaktakraw, Kidima Youth Organisation defeated
Viswema Youth Organisation to emerge champions.
