Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): Saptiqa area students’ union (SASU) has resolved to ban the practice of proxy teaching/ impersonation of legally appointed teachers with immediate effect.
The decision to this effect was unanimously taken during the general consultative meeting held in the residence of its treasurer on January 12 pertaining to the welfare of Government High School, Saptiqa. The house strongly felt that career of students cannot be compromised due to the negligence of teachers.
“At a time when education has become so competitive in urban areas where students are taught by well qualified teachers, the academic career of students at Saptiqa area cannot be juggled where qualified government appointed teachers neglects their duties for whatever reasons and chooses to practice the infamous system of impersonation by illegally keeping a proxy against their post,” SASU president Toino Awomi stated in a press release.
The house called upon the school administration to start their academic session as per government prescribed norms. It also asked the non-teaching staff posted at Government High School, Saptiqa, to be stationed at their place of posting.
