Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): The Kohima village youth organisation (KVYO) has served the Nagaland government with a 30-day deadline to begin the construction of a four-lane bridge over Sanuorü River ‘as per the guidelines’ of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
In an open letter to the engineer-in-chief of the state Public Works Department, the KVYO on Tuesday warned that it would be forced to ‘take its own course of action’ if the government fails to meet the deadline.
It stated that despite appeals submitted earlier, the construction of the fallen Sanuorü Bridge was “still in the dormant state with no visibility of concern on this main lifeline leading to the state’s mitochondrial planning hub.” This has forced the organisation to serve the ultimatum, it stated.
