DIMAPUR — The Sanitation Support Team, operating under the state government, is playing a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and promoting responsible waste management at the 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2025 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
A dedicated team of 80 to 90 sanitation personnel, comprising both men and women from various age groups, are deployed daily across the festival grounds, a DIPR report stated.
Working from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm., the team undertakes tasks such as waste collection, segregation, sweeping, and overall upkeep of the venue.
Despite waste bins placed at strategic locations, the high influx of visitors continues to pose challenges in managing waste effectively.
