Dimapur, Jan. 9: Village Development Board members of Sanis, under Wokha district, have issued a representation to the subdivision officer (civil) of Sanis in connection with an issue over ‘TIB management committee members appointment against Sanis village by contravening the provision of codefied model rules as immediate guardian of the local administration...’
A copy of a representation was received here on Monday. C Thachumo Murry, VDB secretary, appended the representation in behalf of VDB members of Sanis village.The letter expressed surprise to know that the SDO (c) Sanis “without going through these all provision of VDB model rules and issuing new order for fresh selection/election of VDB management committee members of Sanis village on 7th Dec 2016. and submission the same on or before 16th Dec 2016...”
Said order was also “confined to his own office,” the letter alleged. The VDB members stated that this “clearly shows that the SDO (C) Sanis has undermind (sic) the status and authority of the DC office Wokha.”
The same order was condemned by the public of Sanis village during a general meeting, the note stated.
