Dimapur, June 7 (EMN): The Sangtam Union Dimapur and the Zeme Council Dimapur called for a general meeting which is scheduled to be held on June 15 at 10:00 am at the Dimapur District Sports Complex stadium. A press release, signed by both the unions’ president informed on Thursday.
The meeting was said to have been called with regard to the murder of three boys in Dimapur on June 4. Further, it informed all male of 18 years and above of the two communities to attend the meeting in traditional attire.
The two union in the press statement asserted that it had taken serious note on the law enforcing agencies for failing to arrest the culprits till date, in-spite of the joint representation made on June 4.
‘The crimes and cold blooded murder cases taking place in Dimapur is a reflection of law and order breakdown,’ the press release added. Further, the unions claimed that such incident has reminded the two communities of their past, as in such cases of murder no arrest and action had been taken against the criminals. The unions also stated that it has decided not to let the innocence and patience of the two communities be subjugated further.
