Dimapur, July 7 : The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has asked a group calling itself the ‘SRF’ to stop functioning. The USSC said to uphold what it called the “Shopilak Declaration 2016” adopted during the 15th ENSF Federal Assembly at Tuensang on July 28.
“The declaration was made in the presents (sic) of all the federating units of ENSF to safeguard the interest and the aspiration of the people,” a note from the USSC on Thursday stated.
“The so-called SRF group functioning in the jurisdiction should stop immediately and any individual involved in the group should also denounce its membership as it is not the mandated group/organization of the eastern Nagas in general and Sangtam in particular.”
The organization has cautioned the functionaries of the group “not to mislead the innocent public and misinterpret the history of the eastern Nagas for your greed.
It is learnt that many innocent public were mischievously cheated and lured in an unscrupulous manner by those functionaries.” Individuals found involved in the group are warned of “further course of action.”
THE USSC has appealed to citizens to immediately report ‘if any individual or group found violating the declaration.’
