The Sangtam Students’ Union Kohima organised an Open Penalty Shootout Competition at TM Ground with 29 teams, where Mez & Co. clinched the title.

DIMAPUR — The Sangtam Students’ Union Kohima (SSUK) organised an Open Penalty Shootout Competition on Saturday at TM Ground, near Kohima College.


According to an update, the programme began with a welcome address by Longtili C Sangtam, president of SSUK. A total of 29 teams took part in the competition.


It stated that after a thrilling contest, team Mez & Co. emerged as the champion, while team Revo finished as the runners-up. The award for Best Keeper went to Sedekhotuo Sote for his outstanding performance.

The programme was organised in line with the Mungmung Festival get-together and as a fundraising event for the upcoming cultural programme on September 27 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima, along with other follow-up activities.


The union expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sangtam Union Kohima, Sangtam Baptist Lithro Kohima, Sangtam Baptist Lithro Kohima Youth Ministry, all Sangtam village and area unions in Kohima, eastern Nagaland unions, the participating teams, donors, officials, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the event a grand success.
