Dimapur, March 16
The three apex bodies of Sangtam community including United Sangtam Likhum Pumji(USLP), Aketa Sangtam Thsingmujanglaru (AST) and United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) have expressed regret if sentiment of any Naga Political Groups (NPGs) was hurt during their protest against government’s failure to fulfill the charters of demand on March 11.
In response to the press statement of Kewungkhum, Religious Affair Kilonser GPRN/NSCN, the three bodies in a press communiqué clarified that the displayed banner with men in uniform did not bear any of the ‘Naga Political Group’’s collar tab and arm badge. “However, as per the press statement of Kewunkhum the said picture was taken in 2013 at Himpio, Eastern Area of Myanmar with ‘Konyak and Tuensang Naga armies’ when he was the then Education Minister of NSCN (K) with the sole purpose/intention to publish a book titled ‘Oracle: basing on Naga People and the land of Naga and the Rights’ by Muzieh Y. Awunru,” the communiqué said.
