Sangphur FC wins the 4th Metümnyo Festival Football Championship after defeating Shamatorian FC in the final.

DIMAPUR — Sangphur FC won the 4th Metümnyo Festival Football Championship after defeating Shamatorian FC in the final played at Sangphur village, Shamator, on August 8.
According to a DIPR report, the championship was held on the theme "Inspiring youth, promoting sportsmanship" as part of the Metümnyo festival celebration.
Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S Keoshu Yimchunger, attended the event as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the advisor expressed gratitude to the Department of Youth Resources and Sports for sponsoring and uplifting grassroots-level talent. He stated that the department's main objective was to reach out to the local community through such events.

He also thanked the Shamator District Football Association (SDFA) and Sangphur Village Students' Union for successfully conducting the championship. He urged all players to work hard, stating that goals can be achieved through self-discipline.
A total of 16 clubs registered for the tournament. In the final match, Sangphur FC defeated Shamatorian FC to secure the title.
The individual awards for the championship were presented to Kiutong Janger of Sangphur FC (Golden Glove), T Dolun of Challenger FC (Golden Boot), and Lakiumong S (Golden Ball).
