Diphu, July 24 (EMN): After a ‘deliberate discussion and understanding’ with sand businessmen in Dimapur, a union of sand dealers in Diphu in Assam has lifted an indefinite ban they imposed on sand supply; supply shall resume ‘as normal.’
This was informed by office secretary Advin Teron of the Manja Local Sand & Stone Supplier Union (MLSSSU) here on today. It was also informed the meeting was held at Borlengri on July 19.
Talking to this correspondent, Teron informed that the organisation had discussions with local sand businessmen in Dimapur. The indefinite ban on supply of sand has been lifted and supply is on as before, it was informed. When asked whether their demand for INR 66 per cft was fulfilled, Teron said that although ‘our earlier demand for INR 66 per cft is not yet fulfilled but we have come to point with understanding so that our business is not lost.’
