Akuhaito Aspirational Block launches Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 at DC’s conference hall, Zunheboto.

DIMAPUR — The Akuhaito Aspirational Block officially launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, Zunheboto, on February 2.
The key indicators for Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 include children (6 months to 6 years) taking supplementary nutrition regularly (ICDS); measurement efficiency of children enrolled at Anganwadi centres; operational Anganwadi with functional toilets and drinking water facilities under health and nutrition; schools with adequate girls' toilets under education; and percentage of bovine animals vaccinated (FMD) under agri and allied sector.
The campaign is scheduled to be completed in two and a half months, a DIPR report stated.
EAC Atoizu and Nodal Officer of Akuhaito Aspirational Block, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak, in his welcome address, reflected on the block’s journey over the past two years, highlighted both challenges and achievements, noting that the block had secured the eight at the national level.
He urged stakeholders to recommit themselves to achieving a 100 percent saturation rate. The EAC also called upon all departments to work collectively so that the benefits of the scheme reach the grassroots level.
The keynote address and administration of the pledge were led by Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj.
The DC expressed concern over the block's current performance compared to other blocks, stating that despite running the programme for three years, progress has been unsatisfactory.
Emphasising that the block has a small population, Raj said focused efforts and coordination among key departments, particularly Social Welfare, Veterinary Office, and AEO, could significantly improve outcomes.
He assured his full support and availability to strengthen the initiative.
PowerPoint presentations were presented by the Social Welfare department, the Chief Veterinary Officer, Zunheboto, and the AEO, Zunheboto.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Tsoinchu Sangtam, EAC (HQ), Zunheboto. The Deputy Commissioner directed that all fieldwork under the programme be completed by March 31.
Earlier in the programme Kivikali Achumi, Aspirational Block Fellow, Akuhaito chaired the programme, and invocation was offered by Easter Sema from the SDA, DC Office, Zunheboto.
