DIMAPUR — District level programme on Sampooranata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh was held in Noklak and Zunheboto districts, respectively.
The Noklak district administration organised the programme under Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) on July 30 at Tourist Lodge, Noklak.
Addressing the event, Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan, expressed his sincere appreciation to all the officers and frontline workers for enabling the block to have a successful campaign, a DIPR report stated.
The DC attributed Thonoknyu block's milestone achievement to the collective efforts of the people involved, rather than the scheme itself, highlighting the importance of teamwork behind every success story.

Sub-Divisional Officer (C) of Noklak, Vikhoto Richa, highlighted the overview of the Sampoornata Abhiyan campaign, which was conducted between July and September 2024.
As part of the campaign, the block reportedly achieved 100% saturation in five out of six key performance indicators. The SDO attributed the achievement to effective coordination among departments, dedicated field workers, and strong community involvement.
Richa stated that the steady progress was the result of consistent efforts across key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion and basic infrastructure. He also briefed on the targeted activities which were undertaken to achieve saturation in core development indicators focusing on implementation and active role played by officials and frontline workers.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Victor highlighted the campaign's success, attributing it to coordinated household-level interventions. He mentioned a house-to-house survey covering eligible married couples, where pregnancy tests were administered to all eligible women, significantly contributing to 100% indicator coverage.
Informing that the household survey and community outreach activities were conducted by health workers, the CMO explained that the house-to-house survey not only ensured saturation but also helped collect vital data to guide future health interventions in the block.
Further, on tuberculosis (TB) elimination efforts, Dr. Victor stated that the health department is identifying suspected cases and collecting sputum samples for diagnosis. He emphasised the importance of early detection and timely treatment to prevent the spread of the disease.
As part of the achievement under the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP), block level officials and frontline workers were felicitated for their dedication and hard work in lifting the block to a higher rank.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by EAC Noklak, Apuloka H Sumi.
Meanwhile, an award programme titled ‘Sampoorna Abhiyan Samman Samaroh’ was also held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Zunheboto, on July 30 with Picto Shohe, MLA, as the special guest.
According to a DIPR report, the programme focused on the Akuhaito Aspirational Block, recognising and encouraging frontline workers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for their contributions.
In his address, Shohe noted that despite some progress, the Akuhaito Aspirational Block has underperformed since its launch in 2023, still facing basic infrastructure issues like lack of bus services and poor roads. The block, comprising 16 villages and four towns, ranks eight among 500 blocks in India, he informed.
Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, in his keynote address, emphasised that the goal of the programme is to support, empower and felicitate frontline workers and SHGs and also to promote the overall development of the block.
As part of the Sampoornata Abhiyan, several block officials and frontline workers were felicitated. The programme was chaired by District Programme Manager (DPM) of the National Health Mission (NHM), Rosemary.
A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Kivikali, Aspirational Block fellow, highlighting the events conducted under Akuhaito Aspirational Block.
Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC and nodal officer for Akuhaito Aspirational Block, delivered the welcome address.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Heipeuding Ilunglung, Block Development Officer, Akuhaito. The event concluded with inauguration of stalls set up by various SHGs and government departments, showcasing local products and development initiatives under the Aspirational Block Programme.
