DIMAPUR — State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Medziphema, organised a two-day training programme on ‘Linking farmers to market; opportunities and challenges’ on March 14 and the 15th.

During the course of the training, Jacob Yanthan, CEO of NSAMB; Sourabh Trivedi, director of marketing, North East Foods India (Produce of Naga Hills), and Nukuzo Phesao, proprietor of Warehouse 103 and founder and proprietor of Nature Fuel India, emphasised on aligning produce with product to meet demand, quality and consistency, neutralising rates for local aggregators to contain market fluctuations and storage build up to control inconsistent pricing and supply chain.

The participants also visited Nagaland State Agriculture Marketing Board (NSAMB) at Agri- Expo, Chümoukedima.

The valedictory programme was chaired by Yezaho Swu, DPD SAMETI. All the participants gave feedbacks on the training. Certificates were also distributed to the trainees, it stated.
