Nagaland Sameti tours Meghalaya

Dimapur, July 10 (EMN): The State Agriculture Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Nagaland organized and sponsored and interstate exposure tour for officials of SAMETI and IETC to Meghalaya from 3-7 July 2018. The tour included visits to important offices like the Central Potato Research Station (CPRS), KVK (East Khasi Hills) etc. During the visits, the team interacted with the heads and staff of all the offices wherein, they were taken around the official establishments and introduced to the activities undertaken in the different departments. The team also made field visits to a floriculture nursery run by a progressive farmer and fruit garden under the department of Horticulture. The team also visited Mwalynnong village in East Khasi Hills district, popularly known as the cleanest village in Asia and Sawki in West Jaintia Hills district which is famous for the Umngot river that separates India and Bangladesh, this was stated in a press release issued by the director SAMETI and Principal IETC, Medziphema, Nagaland.
