SAMETI organised a five-day HRD training programme for agriculture and allied officers in Nagaland.
DIMAPUR — The State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Medziphema, organised a five-day training programme for Agriculture and Allied officers and functionaries on the theme, "Human resource development skills for increasing efficiency of extension functionaries," from July 6 to the 10th.
According to an update, the inaugural session was attended by Director of SAMETI and Principal of IETC, Bodevi Shuya, who underscored the importance of human resource development (HRD) for government officials. He stressed the need to cultivate a culture of sincerity and professionalism in the workplace to ensure better service delivery for the public.
Shuya also urged officials from the Agriculture and Allied departments to develop and adopt HRD skills to facilitate the effective dissemination of agricultural technologies to the farming community.

Director of the Extension Education Institute (EEI), North Eastern Region, Guwahati, Dr. Rajumoni Bordoloi, in his inaugural address, highlighted the importance of adopting new HRD practices and continuously updating professional skills to meet emerging challenges.
The training featured sessions by resource persons Dr. Rajumoni Bordoloi, Dr. Sajib Borua, former SAMETI Director Dr. Watimongla Jamir, Marneni Divya Sree, SMS, KVK Dimapur, Dr. Deepa Thangjam, and Dr. Merensangla, Assistant Professors in the Department of Rural Development, School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University.
Participants included officers from the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Soil and Water Conservation, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, as well as Deputy Project Directors (DPDs) of the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
