Salesian College of Higher Education in Dimapur holds a voluntary blood donation camp with District Hospital Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — The Red Ribbon Club of Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE), Dimapur, organised an awareness-cum-voluntary blood donation camp on the theme "Small action, great impact: Youth for blood donation" on Saturday.
The camp was held to commemorate National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, observed on October 1, in collaboration with the Blood Centre of District Hospital Dimapur and the Voluntary Blood Donors Association Nagaland.
According to an update, the college has collaborated with the District Blood Centre, Dimapur, since 2011. During the camp, about 40 students volunteered to donate blood.
Kholie Dolf, former president of the Voluntary Blood Donors Association Nagaland and a first-aid trainer, spoke on the importance of voluntary donation, noting that he marks his birthday every year by donating blood.
Dr. Rongsenmar Lkr, In-charge of the Blood Centre at District Hospital Dimapur, led an interactive session with the students. He stated that if screening of a donor's blood indicates a serious illness, the donor is provided with counselling and assistance with treatment.
