Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): A one-day NAAC sponsored national seminar on “Intellectual property rights and its implications in higher education” was held in the auditorium of Sakus Mission College, Dimapur, on February 25. The resource person of the seminar was Dr. Bikash Chandra Dash, assistant professor, department of political science, Assam University, Diphu campus.
The keynote address was delivered by Pranati Das, HoD, political science, whereby she set the tone of the seminar by highlighting all the important areas relating to IPR.
The second session began with the resource person briefing about the indispensible nature of IPR, its types, and its applicability in higher education as per the prevention of plagiarism regulations act, 2018.
Harekrushna Parhi, assistant professor, department of education from Government College Dimapur; Anil Kumar Das, assistant professor, department of political science from Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur; R Emilo T, assistant professor, department of economics from Unity College, Dimapur; Rajani Das, assistant professor, department of political science from Tetso College, Dimapur; Lokuh Sangtam, 6th semester BALLB student from Ajeenkya DY Patel University School of Law, Pune; RB Srikant, assistant professor, department of economics from Sakus Mission College, Dimapur; and Aosanen Jamir, HoD economics from Sakus Mission College, Dimapur, presented papers during the seminar.
The event concluded with presentation of certificates to the paper presenters and the participants.
