Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): Sumi Aphuyemi Kughakulu Dimapur (SAKD) has appeal to the concerned department to immediately repair the alternative road from Seithekima-Patkai to a pliable condition.
SAKD also urged all the sensible citizens and Dimapur district based NGOs to cooperate with the district administration to immediately stop lifting of sand gravels without further delay so as to avoid such kind of incidents at various places like CIHSR (Referral Hospital) and many bridges around Dimapur.
Expressing grieve and shocked over the tragic incident of the 4th Mile Bridge where four person’s lives were lost and caused injuries to six others, SAKD conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and also wished speedy recovery to the injured persons.
In a press release, SAKD president Sukhavi Swu and general secretary Tovishe Assumi, stated that the tragedy also affected more than 120 villages living over the other side of the river bank in the westerns areas.
While expressing their condolences and grieve, SAKD also regretted that the some NGOs, immediately jump into the conclusion without ascertaining the reasons of collapsed bridge and seeking the resignation of Minister for PWD(R&B) Y. Vikheho Swu.
