Dimapur, Nov. 4(EMN): Sainik School in Punglwa excelled at the recently concluded district-level science fest organised by Breeze Women Welfare Association, informed an update issued by PRO (def) Kohima on Monday.
science competition, which was held on October 28 and the 29th at All Saints Higher Secondary School in Peren, was conducted in collaboration with Living Stone Foundation International, Dimapur, G Rio School, Kohima and All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren.
School bagged the second prize for their model on 'Farming and Agriculture techniques' and was awarded a trophy and certificates. The cadets who participated in the exhibition were Vikash Kumar, Rumu Kumar, Alemwapang, Vivek Nanada and Nokrenti.
exhibition was also supported by the National Council For Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) and the department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
a separate statement issued by PRO (def) Kohima, it was informed that the school organised an inter-house drawing and painting competition to help bring out creativity and artistic talent among the cadets. It was held for cadets of classes 6 to 11 in the school campus on November 2 under the guidance of the art master, Dailee Mao.
competition was conducted under different categories and on different themes such as 'Life of Mahatma Gandhi', 'Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi', 'I can draw this' and 'Save wildlife'. Prizes and certificates were given away to the winners by Prasun Basu, principalof Sainik School Punglwa.
