Sainik School Punglwa commemorates Hindi Diwas with zeal and enthusiasm.

DIMAPUR — Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) commemorated Hindi Diwas (Hindi Pakhwada) from September 1 to the 15th on the theme "Hindi: A global voice of unity and cultural pride."
An update from the school stated that a series of activities such as calligraphy competition, dictation, poster making, quiz, conversation writing, slogan writing, street play, poetry recitation, speech and debate were organised during the 14-day event. The events were part of the annual inter-house competition among the four junior houses namely Pauna, Shilloi, Patkai and Melak and the four senior houses namely Tizu, Japfu, Doyang and Saramati.
It stated that through the various competitions, cadets were encouraged to express themselves in Hindi, fostering a sense of national pride and unity. It also widened their knowledge and understanding of Hindi language, which is a symbol of India's cultural heritage.

It added that by celebrating Hindi Diwas, the school has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural diversity of India.
The celebrations culminated with a debate competition for senior students on the topic ‘Mobile and social media are the best medium of social empowerment in the modern age.’
It further stated that the school’s principal, Col (Dr.) Smita Mishra, gave away the certificates and trophies to the winners. Shilloi house and Doyang house were declared champions in the junior and senior category respectively.
