Sainik School organises ‘Runs for unity’

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Honouring the enormous service and rare legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Sainik School Punglwa organised a ‘Run for unity’ on the occasion of his 144th birth anniversary on October 31. The motive of the run was to spread the message of ‘Unity in diversity’ and strengthening the integrity towards a better society, an update from the school stated on Thursday. The event witnessed participation by all cadets, staff and officers. Participants of the unity run ran a distance of 4 kms under the banner ‘Run for unity.’ As part of the event, special assembly was conducted wherein cadet Masen Kodak delivered a speech on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Cadets and staff took a ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ pledge and solemnly resolved to preserve unity, integrity and security of the nation.
