Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): The Sainik School Punglwa celebrated Hindi Pakhwada from Sep. 1 to the 14th at Punglwa in Peren.
A press release from the school informed that the event was celebrated to promote Hindi language and encourage the cadets to use it to optimise their communication. As part of celebration, school assemblies were conducted in Hindi and various activities such as Hindi quiz competition, general knowledge competition, essay writing competition and debate competition were conducted for the cadets as a part of ‘inter-house competition.’
The officiating Principal, Lt. Col. MK Meitei, graced the final day of the pakhwada as chief guest. He presented medals and certificates to the winners.
The chief guest while addressing the cadets conveyed his compliments to all the participants and winners. He spoke on the importance of Hindi as a language in India and stated that it is necessary for an individual to learn this national language.
