Sainik school football championship concludes

[caption id="attachment_176189" align="alignnone" width="550"] Winners of the Sainik School sub-junior football championship, Melak house pose for a group photo with the awards.[/caption] Dimapur, April 13 (EMN): Melak house has claimed the championship of the Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) sub-junior inter-house football tournament by defeating the Japfu house in the final match on April 12. Group Captain and school principal, Sharad R Keskar, gave away the medals and certificates to the winners. Japfu dominated the match during the first half and managed to lead with a solitary goal. But ten minutes before the end of the second half, Melak scored the equaliser and managed to keep the balance till the final whistle. The match was decided through a penalty shoot-out in which Melak won by 3-2. Cadet Kedosetuo Pienyü of Melak house was awarded the best player of the championship. Patkai House finished third in the championship.
