Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School Chizami launched its golden jubilee year with a prayer service, marking decades of excellence and service.

DIMAPUR — Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School, Chizami, Phek, marked the inauguration of its golden jubilee year on Thursday with a short prayer service.
The principal, Fr. Vekupa Rhakho, while addressing the gathering, said that the celebratory year must be a time to renew commitment to excellence, innovation and service, according to an update.

Mention may be made that this was one of the first private schools, established in 1976 under the leadership of Late Rev. Fr. Castelino SJ. The Jesuits of the Kohima Region (now Province) served till 1999 and handed it over to the Diocese of Kohima.
It was mentioned that there will be programmes round the year to make the jubilee a meaningful celebration based on the theme 'Together towards excellence and service'. It will culminate on October 9, 2026.
