DIMAPUR — Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak and Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir jointly chaired a meeting of the Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Nagaland Business Area in Dimapur on Thursday.
According to a press release issued by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), during the meeting, Phangnon highlighted BSNL’s crucial role as an enduring partner in India’s digital growth, noting its continued contribution to providing connectivity even to government offices.
She emphasised that quality telecom services must extend beyond towns and cities to reach villages with equal focus and fairness.

Jamir, meanwhile, called for regular reviews of BSNL’s infrastructure and connectivity in the state, urging officials of the public sector undertaking to ensure balanced and equitable network coverage across all regions of Nagaland.
Both MPs reaffirmed BSNL’s vital role in delivering a reliable and affordable telecom infrastructure, which is essential for Nagaland’s overall development and digital inclusion.
