Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): To support rural people market their products effectively, a rural haat sponsored by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Nagaland regional office, was inaugurated by MhomoTungoe, SDO(C) of Sechu-Zubza Block, at Dzuleke village on December 10.
Speaking on the occasion, Tungoe encouraged the villagers to build upon the advantage of scenic beauty of the place by focussing on cultural tourism, eco-tourism and adventure tourism in order to attract more tourists and visitors.
Also speaking on the occasion, NABARD district development manager, Poji, lauded Dzuleke village council for successfully implementing the project and impressed upon the villagers to utilise the haat productively. He was confident that Dzuleke village would become one of the favourite tourist spots in the state.
In his speech, RuthoNyuwi, NEIDA project associate, highlighted how the various initiatives undertaken by their agency for promotion of eco-tourism has brought higher inflow of tourists over the years. He expressed hope for more visitors in future through various developmental support from different agencies.
