Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): Celebration of RTI week was observed at DPDB hall, Phek on 12th October 2018 on the theme “RTI and role of citizens”. The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Phek, Neilezo Tep. The programme was attended by students from Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Phek; Government Higher Secondary School, Phek, and Colony wards chairmen and NGOs.
There was also a screening of the film “My Right, My Voice” produced by Nagaland Information Commission and Dreamz Unlimited.
Deputy Commissioner Phek, OrenthungLotha, in his keynote address, said that Right to Information (RTI) week was observed to sensitise the citizens on the importance of RTI Act.
Right To Information (RTI) Act shows the advancement of India democracy and RTI is to check Transparency and accountability of every public authority.
The programme was followed with a short talk on RTI application process.
