- KOHIMA — The
deputy director of Information Technology and Communication, Daniel Krocha, on
Friday urged the students to step out of their comfort zones and seek out
conversations with those who think differently.
- He said this during the 28th general session of Razeba Town
Chakhesang Students’ Union (RTCSU) at Razeba local ground on the theme
"Exploring new perspectives: Embracing diverse viewpoints."
- He challenged the students to read about cultures and ideas
they might not fully understand.
- "Be open to changing your mind and in doing so, you
might discover not just new perspectives—but a better version of
yourself," Krocha said.
- He said that when one explore new perspectives, it allow
them to step outside the familiar and question ones assumptions. He added that
the curiosity would leads to understanding, innovation and collaboration.
- "Embracing diversity, however, requires humility and
courage. It means listening, not to respond, but to understand. It means
engaging in conversations where you might not always agree, yet choosing to
respect and value the other person’s point of view," he said.
- He pointed out that Israel is a remarkable example of how
exploring diverse perspectives and embracing differences could lead to
extraordinary growth. Despite being a small nation with limited natural
resources, Israel has risen to become a global leader in innovation, technology
and entrepreneurship. One of the keys to this success lies in its culture of
diverse collaboration.
- He believed that Razeba town could adopt Israel’s approach
to really prosper and succeed. He stated that the town is small but does not
lack in terms of talent and could become a vibrant economic ecosystem if the
people are able to take advantage of what is happening around them.
- For anyone going to Kapamodzu for tourism or for all the
trucks/ mini trucks going to carry cabbages from Zhavame or other agricultural
products from Zelome, they have to pass through Razeba.
