Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has cautioned the perpetrators on NH–2 Rengma area stating that a report about vehicle theft and unscrupulous persons patrolling around the highway has come to their notice. The group stated that the perpetrators have been harassing and threatening the travelers for the past few days.
A press note from the RSZ on Sunday informed that the organisation has taken the matter seriously and hence deployed Quick Response Team (QRT) to the area to oversee the situation. The RSZ conveyed apologies to the victims who had suffered undue harassment from the perpetrators. The press note quoted the RSZ as saying that the group would not tolerate any such anti social activities within its jurisdiction.
The RSZ has warned that ‘henceforth any persons or group found loitering around and disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the area, the RSZ shall not hesitate to punish the culprit.’ The group has also appealed the administration and the police personnel to take up the matter seriously mentioning that the organisation will extend their full cooperation in a bid to wipe out the mess that is happening at the moment.
The RSZ has further appealed to all the drivers and travellers to take extra care as the ongoing widening of highway is making the road slippery leading to risk driving. Also the organisation has informed the public to contact the office for any assistance.
