- 31 students from eastern states of India receive Rockschool
award

- KOHIMA — The RSL
(Rockschool) High Achiever's concert 2024 for East India was held on Monday at
Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in
Jotsoma, where various artistes from across the eastern states of India took
part in the programme.
- Addressing a press conference prior to the concert, Mele
Pucho, representative of RSL Nagaland briefed that RSL is an international exam
board from United Kingdom (UK) and is operating in over 60 countries, and
informed that in Nagaland too more than thousand students appears for the exam
every year.

- He stated that the RSL High Achiever's Concert is a
prestigious event celebrating outstanding musicians who have excelled in their
rockschool examination, and showcasing top talent across various instruments
and vocal performance. He said that the concert provides a platform for
students to demonstrate their skills and highlights their excellence and
dedication fostered through Rockschool's globally recognised educational
programmes.
- During the concert, 31 students from eastern states of
India, who scored the highest mark in the RSL exam, were awarded the high
Achiever's award.
- Pucho, at the conference encouraged young music students to
continue giving the exam citing that music is the way forward.
- Tim Bennett, CEO of RSL awards who is from UK said that this
is his first visit in Nagaland and expressed that he is overwhelmed by the
music quality education in Nagaland while praising the state government for the
commitment to take music forward.
- Arup Gohain, director of RSL awards India shared that they
plan to organise this concert every year from now on.
