
DIMAPUR — Raja Sabha member and chairperson of Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW), W Nginyeih Konyak along with two members of the NSCW paid a two-day (Feb. 23 and 24) visit to Zunheboto district, to assess the livability, safety and protection of women inmates at the district jail, hospital, police station and One Stop Centre.
On the first day, they visited the district hospital and also inspected the women police station, where the commission members interacted with the women patients and women police on duty, a DIPR report stated.
Later in the evening, the team had a brief meeting with the deputy commissioner and superintendent of police.
On Saturday, the team had a meeting with the district welfare officer, which was followed by visit to district jail and One Stop Centre (OSC).
