Dimapur, Aug. 14 (EMN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) has asked the government of Nagaland to operationalise the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) and halt recruitments in its absence.

In a letter addressed to the chief secretary of the state, the party demanded that the government’s notification for recruitment to 1517 posts under 76 departments be nullified; saying that bypassing the NSSB and empowering the Departmental Recruitment Boards (DRB) to conduct exams will amount to contempt of court.

It stated that failing to nullify the recruitment notice within seven days after receiving its letter would compel it to seek remedial measures.

The party also demanded that the government advertise the vacant posts and conduct recruitment examination through the NPSC and NSSB. It also asked the government to revise the age limit for entry into government service for the benefit of candidates appearing in recruitment exams.
