Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): Clarifying controversy surrounding state unit president of the Republican Party of India (A), the party testified that Mughato Ayemi is the state president and remained unchallenged till date. The party also declared that he is the rightful authority to act and take any decision in regard to party matters in the state of Nagaland and added that any decision taken by him would be regarded at the highest in both state and centre.
RPI (A) observer cum in-charge of Northeast India and West Bengal, Vinod Nikalje, made this clarification in consultation with the national party president, Ram Das Athawale, union minister of social justice and empowerment.
He was responding to a press statement given by one Mohanlal Patil which was published in various local dailies stating that Chubhatanget Jamir was the president of RPI (A) Nagaland state. Terming the press statement ‘totally misguiding and baseless,’ he stated that it was a cheap attempt to halt the party movement which was uncalled for and a desperate attempt to be called a leader.
He further cautioned that anyone using the name of party leaders, pictures and trying to tarnish the good image of leaders and the party would be strictly dealt with.
