RPF Director General Sonali Mishra reviews security, coordination and infrastructure during NFR inspection in Guwahati.

DIMAPUR — Director General, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Sonali Mishra, carried out a two-day inspection of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on April 5 and the 6th for strengthening security, coordination and infrastructure development.
During her visit to Guwahati, the RPF director general participated, in accordance with protocol, in a comprehensive election briefing and attended the Suraksha Sammelan at Rang Bhavan, where various infrastructure development initiatives were discussed, the NFR stated in an update.
Mishra also carried out a detailed inspection of the RPF Post at Guwahati and held a high-level meeting with the Assam DGP and senior officials, further strengthening coordination on security arrangements.
Subsequently, she held a discussion with Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, general manager, Northeast Frontier Railway, along with principal heads of departments, focusing on matters related to railway security, operational efficiency and overall preparedness.
Additionally, Mishra held a discussion with Ashish Bansal, general manager, NFR (Construction), and reviewed the progress of new railway projects in the Northeast region from a security perspective.
During the visit, progress related to the construction of an office-cum-barrack at PCSC Reserve Company, Maligaon, was reviewed.
The project will strengthen infrastructure and enhance the operational capability of RPF in the region.
The DG carried out a review of election preparedness over NFR and underscored the importance of heightened vigilance, seamless coordination and proactive security measures to ensure safe, secure and uninterrupted railway operations.
The visit reflects NFR’s commitment to strengthening railway security, upgrading infrastructure and ensuring enhanced safety and services for passengers across the region.
